What a class feels like

You do not have to be “the funny one.” Cheryl starts with accessible theatre games and builds from there. You only need enough curiosity to try the next exercise with the people in the room.

  1. 1

    Warm up

Loosen up, connect with the room, and shift out of the everyday rush.

  2. 2

    Play

Games that sharpen attention, timing, and the ability to accept an offer.

  3. 3

    Explore

Short scenes, relationships, objects, and environments — no polished result required.

  4. 4

    Return

Come back often enough for the work, the group, and your own instincts to feel familiar.

Your first visit: arrive a few minutes early and wear something you can move in. The first improv class is free, so you can meet the group before you commit.

In their words

In their own words. On the page.

  • Cheryl creates a space where you can be fully yourself, funny, messy, brave, and leave every class feeling more alive than when you walked in.
    Jeff Savage, Improv Student
  • I want to give huge praise to Cheryl King, who is SO unique as a teacher within her own creative form, improv and acting. Cheryl is that most rare combination: brilliant and hugely accomplished in her work...and also a deeply kind, safe and supportive teacher of that work. I felt life-changed by her Improv class.
    Kalia M.
  • The beauty is that you also unlock the door that gives us permission to BE.
    Reggie Koffman
